Learn how to use a sewing machine and create a cushion cover with an envelope closing. If you are new to a sewing machine you’ll learn how to thread it up and how to wind a bobbin. You will them learn how to sew a straight seams, plus cutting and ironing techniques. All materials, samples plus a pattern so you can create more cushions at home

Learn how to use a sewing machine and take home a lovely tote bag. If you are new to a sewing machine you’ll learn how to thread it up and how to wind a bobbin. You will then learn how to sew a straight seams, French seams plus cutting and ironing techniques. All materials included plus a pattern so you can create more bags for your friends and family.
Simple A- line skirt with zip – 2 daysMake a simple A-line skirt in this two day workshop. You’ll be using a commercial pattern and will learn how to adapt it to get that perfect fit. This class is a great starting point in making your own clothes. You’ll learn how to take your measurements, read a commercial pattern, layout and cut your fabric, make a toile of your garment, make adjustments then make one in your own material. This lesson will be delivered in 2 parts. You will need to bring your own material. Advice on fabrics and pattern will be given with booking confirmation
Dressmaking Course
The complete dressmaking course where you will learn everything about dressmaking. From the various seam types, darts, gathers, pleats, pin tucks. You’ll learn how to take body measurements, how to layout your fabric, bias and straight grain, how to read a commercial pattern. Learn about zips, pockets, and hand sewing skills.
You’ll be creating a portfolio of your work through various samples on all the techniques. You can then put this into practice by making a garment of your choice.
Shirred elastic maxi dress
Create this summer’s popular shirred elastic maxi dress. You will learn how to make your own pattern, set up your sewing machine to sew shirring elastic and make a roulette tie.
Fascinator – sinamay & feathers
Whether you are looking to learn a new skill or make one for that special occasion you will enjoy this workshop. Create and make your own fascinator using sinamay, feathers, veiling and other materials. You will learn how to form and sculpt delicate flowers using sinamay fabric and trimmings. Learn how to prep a hair band or hair comb, create your design. Then apply them using hand sewing techniques to your sinamay base, hair comb or hair band.

Bag Making Course
There is nothing more satisfying than making something that is totally unique to you. Well now you have an opportunity to extend that to the bag you carry. Nowadays we are always changing the bags we carry sometimes quiet often during the day. On this bag making course you will learn how to make a series of fashionable bags using a variety of fabrics from the everyday shopper to something fancy for the evening. It cover the fabric types, interfacing and wadding, how to add a magnetic fastener, how to insert a zip, how to add a pocket, when to use boning and loads more
Flowers – petals, rosettes
Make fabric flowers - petals, rosettes then turn them into brooches. They can also be used to embellish garments, bags, hats etc.
You will make a variety of flowers using a sewing machine and hand sewing. Materials include velvet, cotton and zips.
